Transcontinental Acquires Home Building and Renovation Magazines From Les Éditions Ma Maison

Montreal, June 19, 2007 – Transcontinental Media announced today that it has acquired six magazines related to home building and renovation from print media group Les Éditions Ma Maison ltée. Each year, more than 1.5 million copies of Quebec-based titles Maison D’aujourd’hui, Condo et Loft D’aujourd’hui, Maison Direct, Condo Direct, MaisonsNeuves.com and MaisonMax.com, are distributed.

“We’re pleased to acquire these six magazines – all with well established reputations – because they’ll truly complement our existing Décormag and Mon chalet titles and confirm our leading position in the Quebec market, as well as our position as Canada’s leading publisher of consumer magazines,” said Francine Tremblay, senior vice president, consumer publications for Transcontinental Media. “In addition to the strong print publications, www.maisonmax.com delivers a Web-based vehicle for us to leverage our multiplatform strategy with readers and advertisers.”

Philippe Massé, owner of Les Éditions Ma Maison ltée, which he founded in 1992, is enthusiastic about this transaction with Transcontinental, “With Transcontinentall Media, these publications will continue to grow and develop within a major print media group.”
