Montreal, Thursday, March 22, 2007 – Transcontinental
Media, through its Constructo division, and the firm Solutions
Net-Logik announced today that they have signed a partnership
agreement to develop an Internet portal designed to meet the
specific needs of the different players in the Québec
construction industry. A truly interactive platform, the Constructo
portal will be online before the end of 2007.
“This new portal fits in perfectly with Constructo’s
mission to make useful information and tools available to
people in the construction industry, to help them take advantage
of new business solutions,” said Anik Girard, general
manager and editor of Constructo. “This portal will
be very complete and will quickly become an active hub for
contacts across the entire industry.”
Industry professionals will be able to consult catalogues
of products and services, as well as trade directories of
contractors, suppliers and professionals, while keeping abreast
of daily developments in the construction industry. The Constructo
portal will also contain a wealth of in-depth materials and
practical information, not to mention an interactive encyclopedia,
guaranteeing its success.
Michel Lapointe, president of Solutions Net-Logik, said: “Thanks
to our user-friendly Internet solutions, which make it easy
to do e-business, the Constructo portal will be extremely
dynamic.” Founded in 2001, Solutions Net-Logik develops
Web-based solutions for establishing portals, Internet communities
and electronic business strategies that have self-managed
content.
Constructo has specialized in delivering strategic information
to parties in the Quebec construction industry for close to
45 years through its publication Constructo and many
yearly magazines and special issues. This division of Transcontinental
Media has always anticipated the industry’s requirements
for professional services and publications that reflect its
realities and obligations. A true pioneer in its field, Constructo
and partner CGI manage the Système électronique
d’appel d’offres (SÉAO), Quebec’s
official online tendering service.
