Montreal, February 19, 2007 – Francine Tremblay, senior
vice president, consumer publications, Transcontinental Media,
announced today that Mélanie Thivierge has been appointed
editor-in-chief of the French-language magazine Coup de
pouce.
“The mission of Coup de pouce is to help
women and their families deal with the changing demands of
modern life and Mélanie is the ideal candidate to intensify
this mandate,” Francine Tremblay said. “A creative
and passionate manager, she brings with her a solid knowledge
of the publication, having been assistant editor-in-chief
since 2003. Ms. Thivierge has also been interim editor-in-chief
twice in recent months. She was in charge of the Mieux-vivre
and Santé-vitalité sections of Coup
de pouce as well, from 2001 to 2003.”
Ms. Thivierge is delighted with her appointment. “It’s
a tremendous privilege to take over the reins of Coup
de pouce, Quebec’s top magazine. As editor-in-chief,
I intend to bring this monthly even closer to its readers
and ensure that it addresses their concerns even better. My
goal? To offer even more practical solutions… and hours
of great reading!”
Before joining Transcontinental, Mélanie Thivierge
was assistant to the editor-in-chief for PetitMonde
