Montreal, November 24, 2006 –
Transcontinental Inc. announced today that it is selling its
interest in TV Hebdo, the television programming
guide, to Les Publications TVA inc. This decision is in line
with the Corporation’s strategy announced on October
19, 2006 to publish TV Guide solely as an online
publication as of the end of November 2006.
Transcontinental received a 50% share in TV Hebdo
when it acquired the Telemedia magazines. At the time, the
other 50% was held by Trustar Limitée, which has since
passed into the hands of Groupe TVA inc.
