Montreal, September 1, 2006
– Today, Transcontinental Inc. filed an amended management
discussion and analysis for the fiscal year ended October
31, 2005. Further to a periodic review of its documents, the
Corporation found that it had inadvertently omitted to include
a paragraph describing the effectiveness of the controls and
procedures with respect to communication of information. The
Corporation’s management, after evaluating the effectiveness
of the Corporation’s controls and procedures on information
disclosure, concluded that these were adequate and effective
measures in ensuring that important information regarding
the Corporation and its consolidated subsidiaries was known
to them. The amended version is available on the SEDAR Web
site.
