Commitment

At Transcontinental, health, safety and wellness (HSW) is one key area of management focus, along with productivity and excellence. This is shown by the Corporation’s clear commitment to HSW, stated as follows:

Ensure and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for employees, suppliers and contractors in all of our business units in order to promote wellness and encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.

The Vigilance Program

To support this commitment, all of Transcontinental’s business units use Vigilance, an internal prevention management program, that consists of all the Corporation’s policies, procedures, standards, regulatory programs, evaluation processes and best practices in occupational health, safety and wellness.

Annual campaigns are organized to promote HSW; Vigilance also has an in-house newsletter and an Intranet page.

Target: Zero Accidents

To support our commitment to HSW, all business units must seek to achieve 100% compliance with Transcontinental’s HSW standards and with HSW legislation and norms. The Corporation is aiming at a record of zero accidents, assisted by Transcontinental’s prevention program and HSW audits.
